IE Consulting was commissioned by MJM Group in 2019 to undertaken a Drainage Assessment in support of a planning application for a proposed medical and retirement village at Rathfriland, Co Down.
A detailed Drainage Assessment was undertaken in accordance with the requirements of Policy FLD3 of Revised Planning Policy Statement 15 – ‘Planning and Flood Risk’. The assessment works included site survey, development of a detailed site digital terrain model, 2D pluvial surface water runoff modelling, preparation of NI Water PDE, Article 161 and Article 154 sewer requisition applications, a detailed stormwater drainage design and DfI Rivers Schedule application for stormwater discharge to a receiving watercourse. The proposed drainage system was hydraulically designed utilising the Micro-Drainage software package in accordance with ‘Sewers for Adoption – Northern Ireland’.
