IE Consulting prepared a Site Specific Flood Risk Assessment for a proposed residential development in Warrenpoint, Co. Down. The assessment included screening of flood risk from available data sources such as Dfl Rivers flood extent mapping, historical mapping and site walkover assessment.
A detailed assessment of the fluvial flood risk to the development was completed using the ‘Warrenpoint ICM River & Tidal Model’ in InfoWorks ICM. The assessment included analysis of the 1% AEP (1 in 100 year) current scenario event and also the 1% AEP (1 in 100 year) plus climate change scenario event using the ICM model.
