IE Consulting provided groundwater engineering expertise to the Main Contractor in relation to dewatering design and management to facilitate the construction of the below ground support structures for the building. The dewatering involved pumping from inside a permanent sheet-pile cofferdam, followed by discharge through a series of recharge wells. This approach enabled maintenance of water tables to prevent any change in ground conditions below nearby sensitive structures, and also obviated the need for disposal of pumped water.
