IE Consulting prepared a Site Specific Flood Risk Assessment for a proposed residential development in Warrenpoint, Co. Down. The assessment included screening of flood risk from available data sources such as Dfl Rivers flood extent mapping, historical mapping and a site walkover assessment.

A detailed assessment of the fluvial flood risk to the development was completed using the ‘Warrenpoint ICM River & Tidal Model’ in InfoWorks ICM. The assessment included analysis of the 1% AEP (1 in 100 year) current scenario event and also the 1% AEP (1 in 100 year) plus climate change scenario event using the ICM model.
